Spiritual Development– Rooting children in who God is

We partner with parents to help equip kids to encounter the world. Trinity strives to create an environment where preschoolers experience God’s presence. Rooted in Biblical truth, we help lay a foundation for a generation to know God and to live in a vibrant, powerful and real relationship with Him. We use PLANTED Curriculum and the Jesus Storybook Bible as the tools to do this. Combining systemic theology and the grand narrative of God to give kids a BIG understanding of who God is and who He made them to be. The goal is to put the Bible into the language and culture of a kid! This is implemented through puppet skits–where kids learn foundational theology through a puppet-teacher dialogue, through our weekly question with friends Zeke and Annie, in daily Bible time where God’s word is explored, through teaching and activities, and in weekly chapel time. During chapel, students come together as a large group in the sanctuary to worship and hear an extension of theology through an object lesson from the SB Community Church staff.

Physical Development — Agility, Balance and Coordination

Trinity students experience fun, inclusive activities that keep them physically active while developing specific motor skills. Our amazing outdoor play environment is designed to meet the needs of children 2-6 years old. In addition to our play space, children have the opportunity to participate in various gross motor activities. They are encouraged to take risks and engage in a variety of experiences to grow their agility, balance and coordination.

Creative Development — The Arts

Art, music and drama play a vital role in a child's development. Not only can immense learning come through creative expression, but the arts allow children to feel heard, express emotion, and explore their biggest hopes and dreams. Imaginative play gives kids the opportunity to interact socially, engage their minds creatively, and experiment with various forms of self-expression. Our program aims to facilitate each child's dramatic play by providing them with materials to fuel their imaginations and inspire them to work together creatively. Trinity Preschool students are able to experiment with many different art forms. They learn about various artists, their styles, the materials that they use, and also make their own art. Children create art projects daily as a part of their class curriculum.

Social and Emotional Intelligence — Practicing Respectful Relationships

At Trinity Preschool, we believe that social and emotional intelligence is key to a child's successn not just in school, but in life! Resilience is the basis of readiness to learn; it is the confidence to take risks, test new skills, try again, and ask for help. Respectful relationships are the essence of society. Students are empowered to set and honor boundaries, practice expressing their needs, work together, and always try again when they make mistakes. Our staff also models these practices by healthy communication with students, parents and one another.

Outdoor Education — Connecting with Nature

With the development of modern technologies that will allow us to have immediate access to more than any generation, children are losing the space to learn and explore through nature. We approach outdoor education by purposefully connection our students to nature: whether by allowing them to play in the sand, get their hands dirty in natural clay, observing red-tailed hawks during outside play, or growing their own flowers and produce, our heart is that they would gain knowledge and understanding of life from the world around them. We are blessed to have a campus that is surrounded by natural beauty and we do our best to not take it for granted!
